New tutorial on the horizon

Woooo, I finally finished recording my new video tutorial, let the clouds part and angels rejoice. My days of recording in the closet are over…until the next time I start recording a new tutorial that is. The video is approximately 128 minutes of real time video. There are two versions available, one in 1280×800 for $10 and one in 1440×900 for $12. Both versions come bundled with the brushes I use and a psd file of my illustration. As a special bonus for purchasing this tutorial, I will select a random person to receive an Intuos 3 6×8 tablet. To enter the drawing, simply purchase the Female Hunter tutorial and your name will be added to the list. If you already have an Intuos 3 or 4, please consider opting out of the drawing so that others who don’t have an Intuos 3 or 4 can have a chance to win.ย You can opt out by adding a comment in the “Special Instructions” window during the checkout process. The drawing will be held on March 15th. Please note, the Intuos 3 is used, but in brand new condition. The surface sheet has just been replaced and still has the protective cover on it. Theย tablet comes with the stylus and the installation disc, but does not come with the mouse (I think the mouse is in the Closet of Doom…don’t ask. If I ever find it, I will be sure to send it to the winner). A trailer for the video will be released on Monday on my YouTube site. The tutorial will be available for purchase on Wednesday, Feb. 10th through my new online store,

Speaking of which, I’ve been working on a new online store for the past week and it is almost ready to go. The store will launch on Wednesday, Feb. 10th. I still need to do some more testing to ensure a smooth launch. You will be able to purchase prints, proofs, and my video tutorials through the online store. Be sure to tell your friends!

  1. I will be there buying on wednesday- just the tutorial is worth a lot more then a meere 10-12 USD but with an intuos in a raffle I would sell myself to get the cash.

Nah, not really, but lets just say that I am in just as much need of a new tablet as I am of this tutorial.

    Cheers Mike!

  2. I’ll be in on this as well. Looking forward to the video PSD. Will be nice to see how you work in real time, as well as having the file to get a better view of the piece.

Thanks for giving back to the community, I know this isn’t always the easiest thing to do.

  3. I second that one Mike D! Many thanks for all the effort on this tutorial, and I just cannot wait to pick it up. The tutorial alone is making me drool, let alone the additional files. The chance to win the Intuos is just cherry on the icing…especially since I’m still on a 3.75 x 5 Graphire.

    She’s an oldie, but she’s a workhorse…and a trooper lol.

  4. And now thar my consumer rage has subsided, it’s time for me to congratulate you on having the patience and tenacity to create a tutorial of this magnitude on your own for the sake of your fans! I would also like to thank you for the dedication and time you’ve put into this for people who could be viewed as no more than empty names on your blog ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks ๐Ÿ˜€

  5. Yeah finally cant wait to purchase the video. I hope Paypal will be an accepted payemnt method ๐Ÿ˜€

    • Galgenvogel – Yup, Paypal will be the accepted method of payment. You will be able to add things to a shopping cart and then checkout with Paypal. If I see enough sales, I might add the option to pay with a credit card, but in order to do that I have to pay monthly fees, so we will see how it works out.

  6. Man, I can’t wait! Thanks so much for doing this, there aren’t enough artists willing to help other up and comers. I’d gladly pay more than you are charging for this tutorial. Keep on rockin dude.

  7. Thats a great news indeed! I cant wait to get my hands on that tutorial! Thank you for pricing it so generously btw. I will prepare some free time in wednesday.
BTW – greetings to Cat. Hopefully shes doing ok – not many new entries on her blog..

  8. What’s great about this video tutorial is that it reminds me of the quality of Gnomon Workshop. Your “teachings” are incredible and you know your stuff. If Gnomon Workshop ever approach you for a tutorial, say yes!

  9. I must say that after downloading and watching this tut on the last weekend I was do pleased I csn’t describe it ๐Ÿ™‚ your tutorial is on par with the massive black ones and many other high quality material, I’m looking forward to the next ones you’ll come up with and will gladly pay any amount required to see it ๐Ÿ™‚
only one note on it is that the audio was pretty good the volume was a bit low but managed to hear it well enough, the audio on the lich priest tut was a bit better in terms of volume and such and there wasn’t any background noise, at least that I know of.

anyway it was worth every penny I paid and more ๐Ÿ™‚
